Cream Top Greek Yogurt & My 1st Giveaway

The other day I received an email from Brown Cow Yogurt asking if I wanted to try their new Cream Top Greek yogurts. I looked it up online after I was contacted and I found nothing, but rave reviews on Brown Cow's other yogurts. I received 4- 6oz Greek flavors which were: vanilla, blueberry, honey, and maple. They also have a 24oz Plain Cream Top Greek, but it isn't available all over the country yet, so you'll have to check you local Whole Foods. If you don't have a Whole Foods near you, you can click here to see if a supermarket near you might carry Brown Cow Yogurt except their Cream Top Greek yogurt which will be exclusively available at Whole Foods until October 1.
Even if you think that you don't like yogurt, you need to give this brand a try. I'm not a dairy fan. Milk always tastes sour to me, yogurt generally has too much tang and tastes past it's prime no matter what brand or flavor I try, and you will never see me munching on cheese unless its on something like a burger or cheese fries.
When you first open the top, you notice the thick cream top that is hiding an equally thick, rich yogurt. My favorite flavor was the maple which is the one I used to photograph with a little extra maple syrup on top. The Greek version does pack the calories (about 200 for a 6oz), but they taste better than any other brand I've tried and it can be a healthy, filling dessert as a parfait compared to a bowl of sugar-filled ice cream.
Layers of blueberries, strawberries, Maple Cream Top Greek Yogurt, and topped off with a little extra maple syrup makes a delicious & rich dessert.
Cream Top Greek Yogurt Parfait
Created by Rayna of Curious Country Cook

1-6oz container Brown Cow Cream Top Greek Yogurt (I used the maple flavor)
2 tbsp blueberries
3-4 small strawberries, chopped
a small drizzle of maple syrup (optional)

1.  Layer about 1/3  of yogurt on the bottom of a small jar or bowl, add most of the blueberries and strawberries, and the rest of the yogurt.
2. Garnish with the last few berries and drizzle with a little pure maple syrup for extra maple flavor.

  12. During grad school I'd buy the big containers of Brown Cow cream top yogurt all the time and eat it with homemade granola. For a splurge, I'd get a cup of the Brown Cow maple variety. I didn't know they began making a Greek yogurt!

  25. So, who won the contest? Congratulations to the winner. :) Anyway, I love the yogurt’s presentation on those pictures. That's pretty lovely and very fruity. Why don't you try mixing all the fruits in a blender, and blend it until it has a syrup-like consistency? That would certainly release the fruits' tangy flavor that goes well with the creamy and mild flavor of the yogurt.

  26. Interesting. i can't find it here (flordia), used to buy it and miss it. will look for it at whole food. an interesting thing. i have tried to make a cream-top yogurt, and have failed completely. do you know how to make that stuff? i thought maybe the milk had to be raw... tried with unpasteurized. didn't work.
